As Israel seeks to browbeat European countries into restrictions on protests against its massacres of Palestinians in Gaza, on the grounds that these protests are 'anti-Semitic', it's worth revisiting Judith Butler's brilliant essay on this topic, originally published in the London Review of Books in 2004, and then collected in her essay collection Precarious Life (2006).
