Enforcing Silence to be discussed on 'Live with Arab Studies Institute: A Month of Knowledge Production'

Comrades and friends

I've  just been alerted to the fact that the recent Jadaliyya interview with Ronit Lentin, David Landy and myself about our book of essays on academic freedom, boycott and Palestine, Enforcing Silence, is to be discussed on 'Live with ASI - A Month of Knowledge Production' tomorrow, 1 November at 1pm EST. The discussion will be held by Bassam Haddad and MK Smith.

The first two episodes of 'Live with ASI' have each attracted audiences of over 150,000 people. In the days following the episode, the Arab Studies Institute also produce an episode digest which links the audience to all of the featured content.

'Live with ASI' is a new monthly broadcast program that showcases recently published content from the Arab Studies Institute’s numerous branches. These branches include JadaliyyaArab Studies Journal, Forum on Arab and Muslim Affairs, Quilting Point Productions, and Tadween Publishing

This content includes articles, reviews, pedagogical resources, podcasts, and more. Also featured in the broadcast are brand new interviews and discussions with various authors and contributors. Tomorrow’s episode, for example, will include exclusive interviews with Alain Gresh, Muriam Haleh Davis, Pardis Mahdavi, and Reem Abou-El-Fadl.

Those of you interested can find earlier episodes of 'Live with ASI' here: Episode 1 and Episode 2.

You can tune in tomorrow with  Facebook Live.

Warm thanks go to Mary Smith and the Arab Studies Institute for their interest and for making this event!

Conor
