Critique, revolution, love

What better day than St Valentine's Day for me finally to get my act together, and post some new material on my blog?  I have been foolishly silent since November, for all the usual and not very interesting reasons.  I hope to make amends more fully in the very near future.  In the meantime, here is a fine essay about Jenny von Westphalen, from the Jacobin website:

The Life of Jenny Marx

  1. Dear Author,

To complement your post, I suggest a short writing by L Trotsky on Nadezhda Krupskaya, who supported Vladimir Lenin to implement Marx's ideals in Russia.

And a little more on her life from Counterfire,

  2. Dear Natalya!

Thank you for 1) looking at my blog; 2) reading this posting; and 3) offering a comment and more reading matter! Would that I knew more about the Russian Revolution, and women's part in it. I am glad you can point my readers in this direction!
